Hey, world.

This is a research project about American perception of Africa. First, welcome. Second, I beg you to take the polls I’ll be posting on the blog roll! Pretty please?

Please see the Introduction pageĀ for more information about my original intentions of focusing on poverty (a.k.a. my proposal letter to my professor). Throughout the semester, as I’ve already discovered after only a few days into the project, my hypotheses and goals of the project are likely to evolve.

I will record my thoughts as I continue my research, and they will be revealed on one final conclusion page at the end of the semester.

Thanks for being a part of this with me!

(By the end of the project I hope to find the answers to these research questions and see if my theories ring true or if they need to be adjusted accordingly.)

An American view of Africa. Africa is not a country.
